The former president's Granddaughter Gets Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf Debut
This young athlete boasts considerable social media presence
Kai Trump will have plenty of well-known backers as she makes her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to Donald Trump, received a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, someone who loves golf, operates multiple international courses and often plays against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we play tight competitions," she revealed.
Kai explained that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"He essentially suggested to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.
"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has participated in only three events in 2024 and holds ranking 461 in AJGA standings.
However she can get advice from golf legend, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He is the top athlete in the world," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's an even better person. He advised me to compete, relax, following whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against several most prominent players in women's golf at the Annika, such as second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that involving Kai brings golf to wider groups, particularly with younger fans.
Kai boasts a massive following and recently launched her own apparel and wellness brand.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
