The club confirmed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Bilbao team in the Spanish league two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. The club said completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch on 7 November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side in December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
